The reader is an RFID device that connects to your phone over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). When it reads a camel microchip or a sheep ear tag it sends the number to Throf, which either fills it in for a new animal or opens the existing animal’s file. It works on Android and iPhone; on iPhone the reader must support BLE.
Instead of searching by number and colour, read the chip and the file opens.
The chip number fills in automatically when you add an animal.

Handheld and paired with your phone — for counts, vaccination days and sales.
Turn on Bluetooth and select the reader inside Throf.
Hold it near the camel’s neck or the sheep’s ear tag.
Throf shows the animal’s file or completes the new record with the chip number.
